With funding and partnership agreements secured, the AgriTech training facility’s new name and logo was unveiled at the November RCIDA board of directors meeting. The Seed Academy name concisely reflects the mission of agricultural education and conveys a special stature of this unique learning environment.
“The name the Seed Academy really captures the essence of this project, really captures the essence of what we hope this to be,” said Dustin Gosser, Russell County High School Agriculture teacher. “We all know that when a seed sprouts from the ground it’s growing into something new, into the future, and that’s kind of how I view this project.”
Building on the strength of the name, the logo subtly visualizes the science behind all fields of agriculture, with a seed as the nucleus of an atomic symbol. KSD Kinetic Strategic Design of Somerset, Kentucky, developed the name and logo as part of their marketing efforts for the RCIDA.
The Seed Academy is projected to be operational in the Fall of 2024. Learn more about the Seed Academy.
