The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has compiled a set of short-term and long-term options for improving traffic in certain areas of Russell County. Their recommendations are based on public input and their own detailed studies. The Cabinet is asking for feedback on their recommendation, and the RCIDA would encourage you to participate. We strongly feel one of their long-term recommendations should be implemented: The construction of a second Russell Springs interchange with the Cumberland Expressway from KY 379. This would benefit any business locating in the Lake Cumberland Regional Industrial Complex Site One park and make the location more attractive to potential developers. Investments in our industrial sites will mean jobs, growth, and improvements for our community.
